Opening night recreated "Moon-wandering," an ancient Mid-Autumn custom. At Yuyuan, a floating stage was built beside the Jiuqu Bridge, framed by upturned eaves and rippling water, where traditional opera vocals met new-generation guofeng—a contemporary Chinese-inspired music style.

Under the same night sky, BFC's riverfront terrace—a trendsetting destination on the Bund—stages an East-meets-West cultural exchange. Against the glittering Lujiazui skyline, its outdoor stage becomes an immersive music venue where traditional opera intertwines with modern electronic beats. Set in the river breeze, this avant-garde riverside music event is becoming a popular nighttime stop for young people exploring Shanghai.

Over the 58-day run, performances extend from dedicated stages into the city's streets and lanes. Yuyuan presents crossovers between lyrical traditional opera and pop-inflected guofeng, while experimental Shanghai-style performances connect with traditional folk arts.
