Salary: Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Pay Scales Point 3 ($115) to Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Pay Scales Point 18 ($179) (Note 1) per hour
Entry Requirements:
(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2/ Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(b) (i) Level 2 or above in Chinese and English language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; or have a pass result in Chinese and English language tests for Police Constable recruitment exercise, or equivalent ; and
(ii) be able to read and write Chinese and speak fluent Cantonese;
(c) pass a physical fitness test;
(d) pass an eyesight test which includes a visual acuity test and a colour perception test. Applicants who wear glasses or contact lenses may also apply for the post. Applicants may perform visual acuity tests with the aid of eyesight correction tools except for colour perception tests;
(e) must be permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; and
(f) pass a medical examination (including a urine drug test).
Duties:
Police Constable (Auxiliary)'s main responsibilities are to support the regular force to perform crowd management duty in large scale public events or pre-planned operations, and to conduct daily beat patrols. Further, the Force will also provide support at times of natural disasters and emergencies.is required to work shifts and / or irregular hours and work in an area outside the HKSAR.
Terms of Appointment:
New recruits will be appointed on non-civil service terms, and may be considered for confirmation in the rank of Police Constable (Auxiliary) upon satisfactory completion of a one-year probationary period in addition to the Basic Training.

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates who apply for Government jobs advertised on or after 26 July 2023 should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)], they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.
