Purchasing Officer
Responsibilities:- Responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for pricing, quality, lead time, shipment and payments terms;
- Responsible for order placing, inventory control, RMA handling, stock allocation and coordinating all transportation for international & PRC companies, including land, ocean and air freight forwarding;
- Following up on the delivery arrangement and schedule with suppliers ensures the lead time is met in our project schedule;
- Responsible for wholesale order follow up with clients;
- Develop and implement strategies to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and efficient delivery arrangements with suppliers.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials and packaging materials to enhance procurement risk management.
- Collaborate with various internal parties to facilitate the timely development and launch of new products.
- Work closely with internal parties to monitor inventory movement and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Control and manage the annual purchasing budget, ensuring cost efficiency and effective allocation of resources.
- Regularly assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a stable supply of materials.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with local and overseas suppliers, regularly reviewing existing contracts for ongoing feasibility.
- Prepare and present comprehensive procurement reports and related documents.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements:
- Diploma holder or above in business streams (Business Management, Purchasing Management , Marketing would be an advantage)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experiences in FMCG brand management, product development, sales and merchandising or relevant experience in retail ( experience in bakery/kitchenware field would be an advantage)
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedule
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
- Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivation, organizational and training abilities
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office –esp. advanced usage of Excel , Chinese word processing ,
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Immediate availability is preferable
Working Location: Kwun Tong
Working Time: Mon to Fri, 10am to 7pm, Bank Holiday
