Finance Manager, HK

  1. Develop, manage, analyze, evaluate and interpret financial forecasts and operating results. Ensure the accuracy, consistency and transparency of financial data and information.
  2. Advise and counsel on financial implications of actions and business decisions. Support business initiatives and business process improvement efforts.
  3. Ownership of account reconciliation process to maintain integrity of general ledger and its supporting sub-systems.  Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.  Provide leadership and support for the Balance Sheet Review process.
  4. Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities.
  5. Ensure all finance responsibilities are defined and communicated throughout the site with specific responsibilities and appropriate timing.  Ensures the deployment of finance standard work.
  6. Develop, interpret, implement and monitor policies and procedures, ensure compliance with local GAAP, statutory and fiscal requirements, as required.
  7. Supports and monitors variable pay for performance and other HR/Admin. related in HK and TW.
  8. Lead ad hoc projects as required including appropriate ERP implementations and system upgrades, business development initiatives such as new business opportunities (and possibly financial review of development contracts and appropriate revenue recognition and project accounting (as applicable)
  9. Other tasks assigned by superior.
  1. Education:  Diploma degree or above in Finance or Accounting.
  2. Experience:  Minimum of 10 years.
  3. Sound working knowledge of HK & US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.  
  4. Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports.
  5. Superior analytical and thinking skills; Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.
  6. Understanding of business issues, including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols and local customs and duty requirements.
  7. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities often with demanding time constraints. 
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to motivate and help direct the organization; exhibits managerial courage in defending a position and handling conflict.
  9. Strong verbal and written communication abilities to achieve clear alignment between different functions.
  10. Influence skills required to drive environment of continuous improvement. 
  11. Solid professional presence and confidence required to interact and command respect from leadership team.
